The poster session at the 2nd Summit was a big success. Do not miss this great opportunity to share the important work you are doing with Summit attendees!
• Do you have a program or service that is benefiting the interpreting profession and you want to get the word out?
• Are you involved in an educational, legal, or otherwise relevant project whose results we need to know about?
Consider submitting a poster for display at the 3rd North American Summit on Interpreting and get widespread exposure for your work!
Submit your Poster Proposal Now! The Submission deadline has been extended to APRIL 16, 2012.
Individuals whose posters are selected for the Summit will receive a 25% discount off of the registration price.
WHAT IS A POSTER SESSION?
A Poster Session is an alternative way to communicate your research, program or organization to conference attendees. It provides the author with greater opportunities for direct contact and feedback than the more traditional educational session. Please see the Conference Sponsor information if you are interested in having a display at the Summit.
At the 3rd North American Summit on Interpreting, the Poster Session will take place where breaks will be served. Poster authors are invited to be available at their poster during those times. Viewers can study and restudy your information and discuss it with you one on one. You will also have the option to exhibit your poster on the InterpretAmerica website after the conference, along with key contact information.
The Poster Session is open to any organization or individual who wishes to present a specific research project or service program relevant to one of the six interpreting sectors represented at the conference, or to another specific aspect of the interpreting profession.
PLEASE NOTE: Poster Session is not intended for Language Service Providers or vendors who are interested in advertising their services to conference attendees. Please see the Conference Sponsor Program if you are interested in having a display at the Summit. (Click here).
To submit a Poster Session Proposal:
Poster Session Proposal Form and email the document as a pdf attachment to: info@interpretamerica.net.
Please note: Space is limited; posters will be considered on the basis of the following criteria:
• Degree of anticipated interaction and information sharing with meeting attendees;
• The value the poster content has to promoting further discussion, education, and collaboration across interpreting sectors.
